Often the existing supply plenum is not designed or sized for modern equipment CFM and Efficiency Standards which can cause freezing issues, lower efficiency, condensation problems, and shorten the life of a new system. Apart from not being sized properly, more often than not they are not sealed, made of just foam board, and have cracks/holes from prior wear and tear. We Install a galvanized sheet metal supply plenum with 1” insulated built onto the inner walls, build a custom insulated transition from system to plenum, cut all new holes for ducts, Install a new non leak collar for each duct to attach along with a adjustable air flow damper, and double seal all connections for 0 air leaks.
